This is Ronald C. Van Pelt the president of SPM. SPM was started in 1975 in Mr. Van Pelts back porch, then to the garage in Spirit Lake Iowa. The Company incorporated in 1976. The Company grew from a 2500 Sq Ft. storage space in a mall to a 15,000 Sq. Ft. factory in Spirit Lake, Ia. In 1987 the Company built a new 30,000 Sq. Ft. facility in Spencer, Ia, where we are today. We also have another 30,000 Sq. Ft. facility for material storage. SPM produces gaskets and seals for the Automotive, Antique, Marine and Industrial industries. We manufacture for the manufacture as a Job Shop and also have an automotive kit line as well as private label packaging service.
